When You're Tired of Carrying It All...

Happy Day Reader!

have you ever felt like life is just too heavy? Like you’re carrying the world on your shoulders and everyone’s depending on you to keep it together? You’re the strong one, the reliable one, the one who makes it all happen. But inside… you’re tired.

You don’t have to pretend. I see you. And more importantly, God sees you.

When life feels overwhelming and the pressure won’t let up, it’s time to pause, breathe, and lean into some truth that can carry you when you’re too tired to carry yourself.

Here are three supportive strategies to help you navigate through the weight of it all:

  1. Set Boundaries Without Guilt

You are allowed to say no. You are not required to carry every burden or fix every situation. Boundaries protect your peace and preserve your purpose.

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” – Proverbs 4:23 Start honoring your own needs the way you show up for others.

2. Delegate and Let Others Help

You don’t have to do it all. Let go of the idea that asking for help makes you weak. It doesn’t. It makes you wise.

“Two are better than one… If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” – Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 Let people pour into you the way you’ve poured into them.

3 Make Rest a Priority, Not a Privilege

God never meant for you to run on empty. Rest isn’t laziness—it’s obedience.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28 You deserve to rest—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually too.

Remember, you are not alone. You don’t have to prove your worth by overextending yourself. You are valuable, loved, and held—even when you take a break.

Give yourself permission to rest and release.

Happy Day Reader! I’ve been sitting at my computer praying and honestly—feeling frustrated. Waiting on answers, trying to figure out the next steps, and wondering if I’m missing something. Sound familiar? If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just plain tired of things not going how you expected, I want to invite you to breathe for a moment. I wrote a blog and recorded a video (a while ago!) on dealing with frustrations—and listening to it again today reminded me I’m not alone. And...

Happy Day Reader! There’s something beautiful about our everyday moments—the ones nobody sees or claps for. The way we push through tired mornings, wipe our tears, and keep showing up even when the world isn’t watching. We don’t need a perfect post or polished caption to prove we’re living well. Real life is deeper than what shows up on a screen. Social media doesn’t show the full story—and that’s okay. The images we scroll through are often edited, filtered, and framed for applause. But...

Happy Day Reader! Let’s pause and celebrate something beautiful—our laugh lines. You know, those gentle creases around our eyes and mouths that show up when joy breaks through. They aren’t flaws. They’re living proof that we’ve smiled through sorrow, laughed during late-night conversations, and found reasons to rejoice, even when life tried to dim our light. Our laugh lines are proof that joy lives here. These lines tell the story of the joy we refused to let go of. They’re the marks of...
