When Self-Worth Feels Out of Reach… Let’s Talk

Happy Day Reader!

Now that we've had time to reflect on the first two frustrations, let's look at today's focus. Let me say this plain: just because you’ve been through it doesn’t mean you’re not worthy of love, respect, and confidence. I know how easy it is to smile on the outside while quietly questioning your worth on the inside.

We carry so much—past mistakes, broken relationships, rejection, shame. And somewhere along the way, those lies start sounding like truth: “I’m not enough. I’m not smart enough. I’m not worthy of good things.”

But we don’t have to live under those lies any longer.

Here are three truths to carry with you:

  1. Speak Life Over Yourself Words shape how we see ourselves. It’s time to cancel the self-criticism and speak what God says about you. Even when you don’t feel it yet, declare it anyway.

📖 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” – Proverbs 18:21

  1. Stop Comparing Your Life Your path is not meant to mirror anyone else’s. You are uniquely called, chosen, and gifted—even if you’re still growing into it.

📖 “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made…” – Psalm 139:14

  1. Root Your Worth in God’s Truth Your value doesn’t come from what you do or what others think. It comes from who created you. And He made no mistakes.

📖 “You are God’s masterpiece…” – Ephesians 2:10

Don’t shrink. Don’t settle. God sees you. You are already enough.

Happy Day Reader! I’ve been sitting at my computer praying and honestly—feeling frustrated. Waiting on answers, trying to figure out the next steps, and wondering if I’m missing something. Sound familiar? If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just plain tired of things not going how you expected, I want to invite you to breathe for a moment. I wrote a blog and recorded a video (a while ago!) on dealing with frustrations—and listening to it again today reminded me I’m not alone. And...

Happy Day Reader! There’s something beautiful about our everyday moments—the ones nobody sees or claps for. The way we push through tired mornings, wipe our tears, and keep showing up even when the world isn’t watching. We don’t need a perfect post or polished caption to prove we’re living well. Real life is deeper than what shows up on a screen. Social media doesn’t show the full story—and that’s okay. The images we scroll through are often edited, filtered, and framed for applause. But...

Happy Day Reader! Let’s pause and celebrate something beautiful—our laugh lines. You know, those gentle creases around our eyes and mouths that show up when joy breaks through. They aren’t flaws. They’re living proof that we’ve smiled through sorrow, laughed during late-night conversations, and found reasons to rejoice, even when life tried to dim our light. Our laugh lines are proof that joy lives here. These lines tell the story of the joy we refused to let go of. They’re the marks of...
