Happy Day Reader! I hope you are having a relaxing Memorial Day. This week as we focus on Love Yourself to Life, we are going to delve into six topics that can frustrate us as women. Some may resonate with you, while others may not. With each frustration, we are going to provide strategies to shift from frustration to fulfillment. Have you ever felt like no matter what you do, it’s just not enough? Like you’re showing up, giving what you’ve got, and somehow still questioning your worth? I know that feeling too well. It’s heavy, and it’s quiet… like a whisper that follows you around telling you that you don’t measure up. But that voice? It’s a lie. Let’s talk about how we silence that lie and stand firm in who we are.
Every day, you’ve got to remind yourself of the truth. Not the opinions of others. Not the comparison trap. But the Word of God that says: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” – Psalm 139:14 You were made with intention and purpose. That’s not up for debate. Start your mornings by affirming your God-given worth, out loud and bold. Speak it until you believe it.
When you engage in things that light you up—whether it’s creating, cooking, dancing, or serving—it reconnects you to the beauty inside of you. That joy isn’t just for fun—it’s part of your healing. “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” – Nehemiah 8:10 Lean into it. Let joy lead you back to yourself.
If your heart’s been wounded by past words, rejection, or silence that cut deep, you’re not alone. Healing is holy work. And there’s no shame in needing support. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” – Psalm 147:3 Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is ask for help—from a therapist, a counselor, or someone who truly sees us. As a survivor of domestic violence and a suicide attempt, I know the work it takes to heal and provide support for subscribers.
Happy Day Reader! I’ve been sitting at my computer praying and honestly—feeling frustrated. Waiting on answers, trying to figure out the next steps, and wondering if I’m missing something. Sound familiar? If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just plain tired of things not going how you expected, I want to invite you to breathe for a moment. I wrote a blog and recorded a video (a while ago!) on dealing with frustrations—and listening to it again today reminded me I’m not alone. And...
Happy Day Reader! There’s something beautiful about our everyday moments—the ones nobody sees or claps for. The way we push through tired mornings, wipe our tears, and keep showing up even when the world isn’t watching. We don’t need a perfect post or polished caption to prove we’re living well. Real life is deeper than what shows up on a screen. Social media doesn’t show the full story—and that’s okay. The images we scroll through are often edited, filtered, and framed for applause. But...
Happy Day Reader! Let’s pause and celebrate something beautiful—our laugh lines. You know, those gentle creases around our eyes and mouths that show up when joy breaks through. They aren’t flaws. They’re living proof that we’ve smiled through sorrow, laughed during late-night conversations, and found reasons to rejoice, even when life tried to dim our light. Our laugh lines are proof that joy lives here. These lines tell the story of the joy we refused to let go of. They’re the marks of...
